How can I update GRUB after sudo pacman -Syu
This is indicated by the following text in the terminal and usually comes after a sudo pacman -Syu
: grub packages were updated.
If you have an UEFI system
To update GRUB on an UEFI system, simply run the following commands:
sudo grub-install --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=/boot/efi --bootloader-id=cachyos
sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
If you have a BIOS system
To update GRUB on a BIOS system, run the following command:
sudo grub-install --target=i386-pc /dev/sda
sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg
